Best Wine and Food Festivals in Texas

Texas wine festivals aren’t just fun, they are hands-down unsurpassable for discovering new wines and new favorite wines. With festivals spread out across the state and happening throughout the year, there is always a fabulous festival to attend.

You’ll find Reddy Vineyards at the best Texas wine festivals. When selecting which wine festivals in Texas to participate in, we look for an event that is more than just a Texas wine festival or a Texas food festival. It has to provide Texas wine lovers a really memorable experience.

Our favorite wine festivals in Texas are those that have a lineup of outstanding wineries to ensure that only high-quality wines are poured. Next, we make sure that the excellent wines are paired with delicious food and that there are other attractions, including music, dancing, art, entertainment, family-friendly activities.

In the next year, you’ll find Reddy Vineyardsat a handful of events, including some of the best West Texas wine festivals like Lubbock Uncorked and the Grape Capital of Texas Vineyard Festival held at Reddy Vineyards. At every event, we’ll pour four incredible Reddy Vineyards wines such as Reddy Vineyards Marsanne, Reddy Vineyards TNT Red Blend, Reddy Vineyards “The Dyer” Red Blend, and Reddy Vineyards Field Blend. We hope to see you at one or all of our favorite wine festivals.

The TEXSOM Wine Awards (February)
Texsom is heading into its 15th year of bringing the industry together to talk and drink wines. Targeted to wine professionals seeking a greater education about all wine, it attracts sommeliers from around the country who gather each year to learn from each other, share experiences, bolster each other’s knowledge and most importantly help each other in their quest for certification. In 2014, Texsom grew to include one of the country’s most rigorous wine competitions due to its line-up of esteemed judges. Today, this celebrated Texas wine festival includes wines from vintners located around the globe, all of whom want to compete for the prestige of recognition from Texsom. Reddy Vineyards is proud to participate in Texsom as a competitor.

2019 Rodeo Uncorked! Houston International Wine Competition (March)
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo isn’t just an event, it’s an institution. Considered one of the best Texas wine festivals, it promotes agriculture and supports charitable organizations all while offering one of the most spirited displays of Texas life, not to mention an awesome wine garden. The wine garden features winners from the Houston International Wine Competition. You can stop by the tent anytime to taste a champion wine by the glass or bottle, host a table for tasting, and/or attend a seminar. The seminars alone make the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo an event worth traveling for—with its range of tasting opportunities that span chocolate to BBQ steak all paired with the champion wines.

Plano Food & Wine Festival (October)
If you want to visit an extraordinary food festival in Texas, Plano Food & Wine Festival is the one. More than two dozen local restaurants are there with delicious dishes to complement the more than 100 wines available to taste. Set in the heart of Texas, the Plano Food & Wine Festival also features a grape stomping competition, mixology and cooking demos, artisan displays and much more. And a portion of the proceeds is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Reddy Vineyards is proud to be a part of this Texas food and wine festival.

This Texas wine tasting features over 100 wines, live music, talented artists, local restaurants and food trucks, culinary demos happening throughout the day, grape stomping competitions, and boutiques for shopping. Sip our delicious wines while you stroll.

Midlothian Wine and Arts Festival (November)
The Midlothian Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Fall Wine & Arts Festival in historic downtown Midlothian. This Texas wine festival could just as easily be called a Texas food festival given the plentiful selection of food from local vendors. In addition to the great wine and food, there are also artisans, music, and a kids’ zone. Held one day only, plan to arrive in the afternoon and stay through the evening and be sure to look for Reddy Vineyards Texas. We’ll be there ready to pour you a glass of our premium estate wine.

Mark your calendar now for one or all of these events and don’t forget to say hello. Are you a Reddy Vineyards Texas wine club member? Please make sure you mention it to us. See you at the festival!
