La Chancla

Vino that hits

The first wine built for the food we actually eat — spicy, Latin, loud. Real Texas wine from our own estate, and the first made to be poured over ice with tequila.

What is La Chancla wine?

La Chancla is a Texas-grown, Latin-inspired wine built to pair with spicy, Mexican and Latin food, and the first designed to be mixed with tequila over ice. It is real wine from Reddy estate grapes, aged 11–18 months at 13.5% ABV, with no artificial sugars, no dyes and vegan-friendly production.

01 — Why It Exists

Wine lost the
dinner table.

Ask any sommelier what to drink with birria, al pastor, or a plate of chiles rellenos and watch them reach for a beer. Heat flattens most wine — the alcohol sharpens the burn and the tannin turns to grit.

La Chancla was made the other way round: built from the start to meet spice head on. Ripe fruit, soft structure, and an agave-spice edge that sits alongside the chile instead of arguing with it. Made for birria nights, backyard parties, and cocktails over ice.

Made for heat

Built to stand up to chile, not fold under it. Fruit-forward with an agave-spice lift that carries salsa, adobo, birria and mole instead of fighting them.

No artificial sugars

Flavour comes from the fruit and from natural flavours — never from added artificial sweetener.

No dyes

The colour in the glass is the colour of the grapes. Nothing added to fake it.

Vegan-friendly

No animal-derived fining agents anywhere in the process.

All natural

Real wine from real wine grapes, aged 11–18 months. No fake ingredients.

Latino-driven

Made by the family that farms it, for the tables we grew up around.

02 — The La Chancla

The first wine
made to be mixed.

Most wine falls apart on ice. This one was designed for it. Tequila, La Chancla, ice, a garnish — three ingredients and a house cocktail your bar can pour all night.

Step 1

Pour

Fill a glass with ice and pour La Chancla two-thirds of the way up.

Step 2

Add

A measure of blanco tequila straight over the top.

Step 3

Garnish

Lime, orange, or whatever is on the counter. Stir once and go.

03 — The Wines

05 — Where It Comes From

The same dirt as our reserve wines.

Most value wine is sourced wherever it is cheapest that year. La Chancla is grown on the estate our family planted in 1997 — 3,305 feet up, in sandy loam over limestone, farmed by the same crew that grows fruit for wineries you already drink.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo and Petit Verdot, aged 11 to 18 months before it ever sees a bottle.
